want to install calendar of events
-
I can’t figure out how to do a plug-in calendar– to make a calendar of my classes and events. Someone helped me upload google, which is what they know how to use, but I don’t work well with it (putting it politely). I have updated an Ajax calendar on another word press site, so I know how to use that. Could you help me get it on my Classes page instead of that Google calendar?
Please be step by step — I did this website in a workshop with a lot of support, and now I am on my own.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I’m seeing a Calendar on your Classes page:

Can you tell me what you mean by this:
Could you help me get it on my Classes page instead of that Google calendar?
Let me know if you have any questions with this!

I want something like Ajax instead of Google. I find it impossible to edit the Google calendar.
So on my Classes page I want to put a different calendar plug in

I see. Unfortunately that wouldn’t be possible on WordPress.com as plugins are not allowed for security reasons. It is not possible to install plugins on WordPress.com, for security reasons. Plugins can only be installed on self-hosted WordPress.org blogs.
If you are wondering how WordPress.com differs from WordPress.org, this support article explains the distinction:
If you want to move to WordPress.org to use that plugin, let me know and I’d be happy to provide you further instructions.

This guide will step you through the process of moving your site to a WordPress.org instance:

One of the consequences would be that as we only support sites hosted here at WordPress.com, all issues with the new site – including the importing of the file – must be taken to the WordPress.org support community:

Is there any way you can help me wrestle with Google calendar? I don’t see a way to change my class, formerly on Tuesday, to Saturday.

Unfortunately that would be a Google Calendar issue. WordPress.com just embeds it. I did a quick search and found the support forum for Google Calendar. Take a look here:

Thanks — what now seems to be the problem is that i don’t have the current calendar in there — I can’t seem to link the right one.

Is there anything I can do to have the full title of the class display when it is imported to WordPress?

That would be Google territory, but I do see that you embedded a calendar at 800 px wide. But the allotted area is smaller. I would recommend changing it to 700px instead. For example, currently it looks something like this:
[googleapps domain="www" dir="calendar/embed" query="src=CALENDAR URL" width="800" height="600" /]Try changing it to:
[googleapps domain="www" dir="calendar/embed" query="src=CALENDAR URL" width="700" height="600" /]You’ll see I changed the number after width=”
