Want to keep Comments OFF but wish to have a separate Page for people to Comment
-
November 2nd, 2011
Dear Support people:
My name is Alexander and my multilingual poetry site is called Zocalopoets.
I’ve done something odd – I guess.
I’ve turned Comments OFF wherever there is a post, because I do not wish
to clutter up the spaces in between the poems. Yet I would like people – and
I mean not just WordPress users – to be able to make comments – how can I do this?
Can I create a separate Page just for Comments?
I do not wish people’s Comments to be part of each Month’s posts
or to be anywhere near the Poems
– I want them to be in a unique separate place you have to click on – is this possible?Grateful for any suggestions – I’m klutzy with the technical stuff !

You could definitely create a separate page for comments and then selectively enable comments on it following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/

Thank you, macmanx.
I
‘ve tried to set up a separate Page called Comments or Questions? but it remains
a dead page – can’t find how to create a Comment Form so that people can leave
a few words! How do I make the Page interactive – ?ALEXANDER
BTW, all the Posts on the site have Comments Off
– is that affecting the new Comments or Questions? Page I wish to create?
I want all the Posts to remain Comments Off,
but not – obviously – the separate Comments or Questions? Page… -
You don’t need to add a form to your Comments/Questions page. If you go to the Edit page for that particular page, you can click on “Allow Comments” under the “Discussion” module.
