want to make an alphabetic list on a page
-
I am making an overview of song titles on a page in alphabetic order. It will be a long list, so I need a function that gives my visitors the option to jump to a specific letter instead of scrolling far down to find it.
Anyone who has a tip how to do this easily? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You could use anchor links for each letter… it would take some time to set up but once it’s setup you’d be good to go.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/page-jumps/
When the link is clicked, it will bring your visitors to the place in the page where the anchor exists. Before you can create the anchor, you’ll need to switch to the Text Editor. To do this, select the tab labeled as either “Text” or “HTML” directly above the right side of the editing area.

I checked that plugin in, but wasnt sure if I could use it since I need more then 30 anchors (the alphabet and some numbers).
I installed a index plug in for tags where the alphabeth shows up on top and have this “jump to” function. I hoped for a plugin that had this function also for list of manual typed in list on a page.
But since it seems not available, I will give the “Splitting content” plugin a try :) Thanks for confirming that I can use that one :)

http://www.alexanderrybaknews.com/ is NOT hosted by wordpress.COM. It is a powered by wordpress.ORG software install on paid hosting. Our support docs do not apply to it. You are posting to the wrong support forum for that site.WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
As you are referring to a wordpress.ORG software install on paid hosting, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
