Want to purchase a new theme,can we keep the old theme active 'til new is ready?

    When I purchase a new theme, does it automatically activate or can we keep the existing site available until we have the new site/theme worked out? I think we are going to need to reformat images and rework content a bit, so there is some work involved in making the switch to the new theme.

    Hi there,

    You wouldn’t be able to activate the old and the new theme together – keep the old while you work on the new theme.

    Once you purchase the theme it will automatically activate on your site. What you can do is set your site to Private while you work on the new theme. This can be done by going to Settings > Reading in your Dashboard.
