Want to remove a link from topbar on the blog hosted at wordpress.com
-
Hi folks,
I want to setup my blog as my website. I have created a page and set it to appear as front-page by default (Settings -> Reading in dashboard). Also, created a new posts page and set it to hold my posts. Now I want to get rid of redundant ‘blog’ link in the top bar. How do i reach the template and edit it? Blog is at: shalin.wordpress.com.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Simple answer: You can’t. At wordpress.com, you do not have access to the underlying code for the theme. With the CSS Upgrade you may style it, but the theme’s basic features will remain the same. Mind you, wordpress.com is designed primarily for blogging, not for building a website. However, there may be other themes that do not have a “Blog” tab or where the tab is called “Home” instead; those themes may suit your purpose better.

@shalinmehta: You cannot remove the built-in “Blog” tab, but you can (and you must) hide the “Home” tab. The header displays parent pages only, so the way to hide the “Home” you have created is by turning it into a child page (Page editor > Attributes > Parent).
