Want to remove default widgets from sidebar in Chateau Theme

  Hi. Even though my Meta, Subscribe, Archives & Categories Widgets are not active, they still show up on my sidebar. Is it impossible to remove these in Chateau? I want the sidebar there, but I want to choose the widgets I’d like to appear. Any suggestions? Thanks

  The theme will display a default sample set when you have not yet added any widgets to the sidebar so it isn’t just an empty blank space.

  Just go to appearance > widgets and add the widget you want and the default sample set will disappear.
