Want to set up a "Customer Reviews" tab on my website
-
I am trying to figure out how to configure a website page to use as a Customers Review Page.
option 1: I can do it by activating the 5 Star Rating tool on my Pages (and leaving the page blank except for the comment box)…but I don’t want that 5 Star tool on all my Pages, just this one. Can I do that?
option 2: My other thought was to create a 2nd blog page (my first is listed as Newsletters under my website) and have it replace the current Reviews Page, but I don’t know if I can do that either. I could then activate the 5 Star Rating tool for Blogs only.
other question: I am hoping to change the word “Comments” above the Comments Box to something like “Please Share Your Thoughts” but I haven’t had a chance to try and tackle that one on my own yet. Hoping to do it through CSS Editor if possible.
Any help or guidance would be much appreciated!
Karen

I just finished configuring a “static: reviews page where customers can fill in a form that will get emailed to me and then I will have to post their comments.
I would love to have this page populated automatically (and with a star rating if possible) if anyone has any ideas how to do it?
I am using Twenty Ten theme with CSS upgrade.
Thanks! -
Hi Karen. To my knowledge, a CSS upgrade cannot be used to change the functionality of a blog (such as automating the rating system)

Thanks for your reply Airodyssey (you’ve saved me before!). :-)
I do realize that I can’t change the functionality, I was hoping for a creative work around using a combination of “Comment” boxes and the “5 Star Rating System”.
I can actually make it work–and look ok too, but I can’t seem to separate the formatting for my “Reviews” page from my other website pages, and it doesn’t work for my other pages. That is why I was wondering if I could point two blog pages to my website. I would leave one as it is entitled “Newsletters” and the other one I would entitle “Reviews”, not write any blog but just have the Comments box with the 5 Stars for people to fill in. That way the page would populate itself instead of me having to do after a customer fills in the form at the bottom of the page.
If you know if this is possible, I would appreciate your feedback.
Many thanks!
