Want to set up free blog to my own domain.

  Hi this is Tarun I have created a free web blog on wroldpress.com named http://iamtechie.wordpress.com/ and after that I tried to change some image on that but I could not do that. Also it’s not looking professional so I want to transfer on my own domain name. Now main problem is that I have to choose hosting from wordpress only or I can choose from any one as per my convenient? Supoose I will purchase a domain from http://hosting.india.to than can I able to setup with wordpress or not? And one more thing after that also am I able to change Image as I want? Only domain name is required or web space also? If any one know please help me .I am new to wordpress. Thanks anyway…………

  Also read the sticky thread at the top of the forum about wp.com and wp.org

  If you just change the domain name, you won’t get any extra functionality for the blog. If you want control, you need the wp.org software.
