  is it possible to show ads on our free version of wrordpress blog or we need to purchase $99 version for showings ads.
  also want to know about plugins in free version, i am not able to see plugins tab on dashboard. is it a feature of paid version ??????

  No upgrade here will allow you to display Google ads or any other kind of ad on your WordPressdotcom site.
