  I have a mature blog running for 10 years. It could usefully work better on 2 separate blogs. How can I move all the posts under one category onto a new WP blog?

  Hi @essiep64, it’s tricky, but I’ve done it.

  Here’s how I would do it now.

  – First, export the entire site. Import it into the new site.

  – On the new site, delete all the posts / pages / media that should not be there. You can use wp-admin’s quick edit to search and remove.

  – On the old site, delete all of the posts or pages that should not be there. Same deal with wp-admin’s quick edit.

  This method sounds a little bulky and I get that, but I think it’s the best way to ensure you get all of the media / comments / etc. copied over properly.
