Want to start new website

    I want to delete my Drink More tea blog. But I want to build a website called Bramble and Rose. I have purchased the domain name brambleandrosejams.com from Google. How can I build a new website on WordPress, delete the Drink More Tea thing, and use my domain name?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    Here is the support link for the information on deleting your WordPress site https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

    If you are on a free plan (yoursite.wordpress.com) then you can proceed with deleting your site by visiting the general tab in your WordPress site settings page.

    In the case, you have any upgrades such as premium or business plan, first, you would need to cancel your purchases at this link https://wordpress.com/me/purchases before you proceed with account/site deletion.

    As for building a new website using a domain purchased from Google, you would need to purchase one of the paid plans of WordPress.

    You will find the details of the paid plans here: WordPress Paid Plans

    Once you purchase a plan, you will then have two options to use your purchased domain:

    1. You can transfer the domain to WordPress (Support Link)

    2. You can map the domain name to WordPress.com name servers. For this, you can contact the support of your hosting company (from where you have bought the domain name) and request them to change the nameservers to point towards Wodpress.com. (Support Link)

    As you mentioned you are just starting with WordPress.com. So, do not get worried. There are abundant support docs available to guide you. You also have access to live chat as a part of your paid plans.

    Hi there,

    You just copied my exact wording, I just replied to one of the users 25 Minutes back.

    It would be better if you can create your own wordings rather than copy-pasting without even making any changes.

    We are all here as we love WordPress.com and want to help the users. However, copy-pasting someone else’s words without even putting effort for any change is unethical and not up to the high standards of WordPress.com

    Hi Deb,

    I sincerely apologize for copying your words from another post. I don’t mean to cause any trouble. I am new to the WordPress forums and wanted to help out other members. I found that your answer from other post is helpful and similar with what the Post Author is asking about.

    If what I have done is a violation here in the forums then I will put down my post. Again, I’m really sorry and I just wanted to help out other members.
