want to take the domain currently owned by an inactive user

  hi there –

  anybody able to advise how i can request for a .wordpress domain to be released to me? –

  [given the current owner has clearly not be using it for a long period of time; or not used it at all in fact i.e. blank blog] –

  appreciate it! –

  If you can find them and contact the inactive user directly, you can ask them to transfer it to you by following these directions: Moving A Blog

  Unfortunately, WordPress.com will not directly contact users who choose to remain private or inactive.

  An alternate option is to purchase a domain name and apply it to your existing blog: Domains
