Want to transfer our domain name from one web host to this one

    Hello we currently have a SquareSpace site but want to get rid of that and keep the domain name we use over there and use that here. I have already started building out the new website on the free version of WordPress and now am ready to pay for the upgrade so we can get our domain name and also I can utilize some of the paid features… but I have never transferred a domain name and don’t know what to do or where to start. Can someone help?
