want to use a deleted blog title for a new blog site

I want to title a blog ‘spiritsync’ (spiritsync.wordpress.com) but it says it is already in use. I looked up spiritsync.wordpress.com and it says that blog has been deleted. Is there a way I can use it? Thanks for your help!

No there isn’t a way to register it. Deleting any .wordpress.com blog URL is not easily done and what you ask to do is not possible. One has to ignore at least three warnings stating that deletion is permanent and irreversible and then click a verification link in an email to delete a blog. That’s because deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.
