Want to use existing blog name that was deleted

  I just did a search to see if the name i wanted for my blog was available. It said that it was not, so I out of curiosity went to that blog to see what it looked like. The blog then just said “The authors have deleted this blog. The content is no longer available.” Does that mean that i can pick that name back up or is forever taken because they first got to it?

  I’m sorry but that’s not possible. Once a blog is deleted it’s gone forever and the URL is not recycled. You can confirm this by reading the support documentation. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
