Wanting just a user name

  I signed up for wordpress but Im just wanting a user name. A buddy of mine has already set up a blog and we want that blog to be the default blog. Any help??

  If you want to create just a username (without a blog), you can do so by visiting http://wordpress.com/signup, but if you are logged in to WordPress.com, don’t forget to logout first. Under the “Username” text box, you’ll see a “Sign up for just a username” link.

  If you already did that, please check your email client’s spam or junk folder for the activation message, as they sometimes land there.
