Wanting several pages at the top. eg. Blog, contact etc…

  I am wanting several links at the top of my blog with separate pages for my blog, a contact page and others. I am currently using the ‘Orvis’ theme. Is it possible to do? If so, then how?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Sure, you can do that by adding those pages to a custom menu. Here’s a guide to creating a menu in any theme that supports custom menus, including Orvis and Baskerville:

  I am having trouble figuring out how to make my Blog page a menu tab from my home page. I tried to make it from a custom link, but that didn’t work. I am using the Libretto theme. It is for alohomoraashley.wordpress.com

  @ashgask91,

  When you have a static front page and want to display a blog page, then you must assign another static page as the blog page. If you haven’t done so already, you can do this at the second drop-down menu at Customize > Static Front Page > Front page displays > A static page.

  Once you’ve assigned a page as your blog page you may add “Blog” as an item in the menu as described in the Additional menu items section of the Custom Menus support page.

  Just wanted to add to what musicdoc1 explained – be sure to create a page to use for your blog posts. Under My Site > Pages, add a new page and name it Blog. You can actually name it anything you like, but Blog is nice and easy to keep organized. Leave the page itself blank, then set that page as your ‘Posts Page’ and add a menu item like musicdoc1 described.
