  I have created a blog that I did not want to create….my niece (who has a blog) told me to go to this site and submit a request to be able to view her blog. Well, I went and registered and I believe have created a blog. I definitely don’t want anything registered that way for me. My e-mail address is (email visible only to moderators and staff). I have not activated the account in an e-mail sent from you because I want to make this as simple as possible…..HELP! Thanks, Denise

  What is the URL starting with http:// for the blog you think you created please?

  Provided you are logged in under the username account that registered the blog you can delete it by using these instructions. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
  Please note that deleted blog URLs are not recycled.

  Although username accounts are not deleted at WordPress.com http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/ please note the following:

  1. You can go to My Account->Edit Profile and remove all data except the account name and an email address. Create a throwaway email address and change the account email to that throwaway address. This only leaves the username behind.

  2. To unsubscribe from email sent to you from WordPress.com, go here and click on “Block all subscription emails from WordPress.com”:

  3. To ensure the account is locked up tightly, visit this site, generate a password of 15-20 characters, and change the account password to it:
  http://www.thebitmill.com/tools/password.html

  4. While you cannot completely delete your Gravatar profile, you can remove all of your profile information easily through the “Edit My Profile” page here:
  http://en.gravatar.com/profiles/edit/?noclose#about-you

  You can also hide your Gravatar profile from external access. Visit your profile page (click your name in the top navigation of the website), then click the “Hide My Profile” link in the bottom, right-hand corner.
