Wanting to move over to wordpress.com
-
I currently have 3 blogs hosted on my own servers after downloading the software from wordpress.org. I want to move back to wordpress.com as I Am tired of managing the servers and software on my own. The reason I moved out was because of the various themes I could have deployed on my own box, but now I see that we there are various premium themes that i can use on wordpress.com.
The questions I have are:
– Is there a way to migrate all posts from existing blogs to wordpress.com?
– In some cases, I want to migrate the entries to an existing blog on wordpress.com // is it possible to merge?
– How I move my private domains to point to these blogs on wordpress.com?
– When I purchase these themes is it a one time fee?
– When I purchase premium themes, can i use the same theme on all blogs or are themes tied to a single blog?
– If i have a theme purchased personally and i see a premium theme on wordpress.com, can the license be transferred aka I dont have to pay for it again?Thanks
KapilThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
We would love to have you back!
In response to your questions, you can indeed migrate your posts back using the export/import features which are built in to both WordPress.org and WordPress.com. You can read about them right here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/When you import these entries to WordPress.com they will automatically be merged into the timeline of your current posts, and no posts will be overwritten.
====
Your domains can be pointed at WordPress.com via nameservers. You will need to point them to our nameservers:NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
You will also need to purchase domain mapping for each domain at a cost of $13 a year in order to make the domain work. You can read more about that here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
====
If you are looking to purchase premium themes from us, then yes it is a one time fee, however to read in to your following questions, each theme is good only for a single blog. If you are looking to use the same premium theme for multiple blogs then you will need to repurchase that theme for each blog.
====
Unfortunately licenses purchased externally cannot be transferred in to WordPress.com.Let me know if you have any additional questions!

This is all good // you answered everything I needed to know. I will not be able to calculate the Cost of Ownership and decide which way to go.
thanks again.
