Wanting to switch from wordpress.com to wordpress.org
-
I want to stop using wordpress.COM, and instead use wordpress.ORG software while being hosted through some other web host like host gator. I have a purchased url that I bought upon opening my free wordpress.com blog that I would like to take with me. I want admin control over my blog. How do I make the switch?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You first set up your WordPress.org install, install a theme and install plugins. Then you export your content out of the WordPress.com blog and import it into the WordPress.org install. http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/
If you’ve registered your domain through WordPress.com and now want it to point to a blog or website hosted elsewhere then you can do this by updating the nameservers.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-management/#update-nameserversP.S. These support forums are only for free hosted WordPress.com blogs. If you have not done this yet then on the top right hand corner of this page http://wordpress.org/support/ you register a WordPress.com username account so your can post to their support forums.
