I have a problem with my website.
I try to enter on the admin page to do and update on the plugins or whatever it could fixed it, but it doesn’t let me in.

    This is what it says
Warning: ftp_pwd() expects parameter 1 to be resource, null given in /home/customer/www/bbtargetcenter.com/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-ftpext.php on line 230

The site I need help with is bbtargetcenter.com. It is not hosted by WordPress.com, but it is connected with Jetpack.

  • Hi there,

    Thank you for your question.

I noticed that your site is hosted on a server, provided by Omnis Network and was built with the self-hosted version of WordPress, often called WordPress.org. This forum is maintained and equipped to support WordPress.com sites.

To clarify, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different companies and we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere.

You can find more information here about the differences: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the self-hosted software, and you can find the support forums at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

    I hope that helps!

I also wanted to mention that you are welcome to migrate your site to our hosting so we can provide more direct support, here’s how: transferto.wordpress.com/self-hosted-wordpress-org/

We provide support for all sites we host on WordPress.com (even free sites) and would be happy to assist you with issues like this.
