Warning when clicking on link
-
I have an author website and when I click on the link from my teachers pay teachers store or from the link in the back of my e-book to get to my website there is a warning showing that says that it’s an insecure site and that it is not recommended to proceed. I’m afraid the people who see this link will not click on my webpage. Can you explain why this is happening? And is there a way to fix it? Thanks

Hi there,
Are you speaking of the Reading Tree 123 link that goes to https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Reading-Tree-123?
The problem is that you have your link added on that site as https://www.maureenstraka.wordpress.com/. Using “https://www” for your site link will always give that error, as we don’t use “www” on WordPress.com, and forcing the www version of the link to load over https breaks the automatic redirects we have in place to ensure your site will still load when you type the www.
Either add the link as https://maureenstraka.wordpress.com/, or as http://www.maureenstraka.wordpress.com/ if you don’t want people’s browsers to throw a security certificate error.
