If you wish to be aable to see the comments Akismet catches, you need to go to Settings > Discussion and enable the option “Don’t discard spam on old posts”.
Keep in mind that Akismet is almost always right. -

The very worst of all spam contains viruses and malware that could bring down many blogs. That spam is not sent to us bloggers for moderation. It’s importasnt to be aware of the fact that over 80% of all so-called comments submitted to WordPress.com blogs every day is apam. The majority of all “information” on the interent is spam and posting any spam comments can and does have a negative effects on your blog’s authority and pagerank. You have control over the content on your website, and if Google catches you linking to spammy websites, or posting spoam comments they’ll likely consider your website spammy as well.
There is not only robot spam to cope with but there are also people who are hired and paid create and submit spam comments to blogs. All new bloggers ought to scroll down and read this entry > 5 things every blogger should know about spam -
