Was my blog hacked?

  I think somebody removed some of the pages on my blog, adding one which wasn’t there. I don’t see these changes on my blog panel so I can’t do anything about it. They’re only visible at the blog site. Could you please do anything about it? Was my blog hacked?

  Go to your email program and change the password to a very difficult one because that’s how many hackers gain access to blogs.

  Then read this please and act on what you find there > http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/

  If you can log-in
  1. Go here > Users > All Users and delete any user that does not belong there.

  2. Disable post by email > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/

  3. Disable post by voice > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-voice/

  4. Change your blog password to a very difficult one > http://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#change-your-password If you reset your password, it will also work on mobile devices. If you have two-factor enabled, you will need to create a new application-specific password: http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/#application-specific-passwords

  5. Use a secure, encrypted connection to connect to your Dashboard. Under Users → Personal Settings, check the box that says “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages, and click Save Changes.

  Thanks so much! I managed to change the pages and brought them back somehow, I also deleted “old revizje”- the page which was added by someone else probably – it contained the link to my older blog. Unfortunately, now the sidebar with “categories”, “recent posts and comments” disappeared.

  Go to > Appearance > Widgets > Inactive Widgets and re-install them where you want them to appear. The widget contents and settings will be the same as they were before.

  As a further step other than changing your password, you may add another layer of security to your account by activating two-step authentication:

  Enable Two-Step Authentication
