Was trying to pay for account with PayPal and it wants me to link a debit or cerdit card?

  We were trying to pay for our website with Paypal and it wants us to link a debit or cerdit card when we hit the paypal option and put in the postal code asked for

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  WordPress.com uses PayPal as the payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/

  If for whatever reason, they have chosen to block payment from your country, you will not be able to purchase an upgrade here unless you have a source of payment outside of your country. Note: You can buy a prepaid credit card from an approved country.

  In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.

  The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it’s a debit card.

  Hi @rckinsmonstudio, is PayPal itself asking for a debit or credit card, or is that message coming from our site?

  We were on the upgrade your account page to renew our account because it’s time and clicked on the pay using PayPal and put in our information and it came up with put in your credit or debit card information. So it we never made it past the WordPress site to do it.

  I’ve just tested this. I enter the zip code, click Renew Now, and it takes me to PayPal for a login. Are you getting that?
