Wassup plugin capabilities
-
Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone could give me some more information about Wassup plugin capabilities. Does it record sessions in the same way as MouseFlow, or is it something that just captures the basic engagement metrics? I am specifically after something that can record video plays, time spent watching videos, clicking of accordion features etc., and just want to check whether Wassup could be a possible solution.
Thanks,
Lisa

Hi Lisa!
I looked at a previous post of yours, it appears you were going to purchase a Business plan for your site. Were you able to do so? I checked http://hnemedicalimaging.wordpress.com, it shows a free site with the TwentySixteen theme.
I reviewed the Wassup plugin here, it looks more of a ‘real time watcher’ giving specific information regarding what users are doing right then vs. over time, it mentions that in the description area:
It is not intended to show grouped statistics over preset, long-term time periods like visitors per month, pageviews per quarter, and so on (there are many others tools to better gain that, like Google Analytics).
The plugin shows its data in a screen format such as one seen here. It would appear that it records very detailed information such as what video was played and how long that user stayed on the page, etc. so that looks to be something which could address your needs.
As mentioned above though it does not appear to keep long term data such as something like Mouseflow does.
If you are looking for long term data capture you can try Mouseflow or refer to either of the links above for Wassup or Mouseflow as they both have access to the support sections. You can ask questions to the plugin developers themselves there to get a clearer answer for your choice.
If you have other questions please feel free to ask, and Happy WordPressing! :)

Hello @nixiack8 and @c3112936,
I also wanted to note that you need to have a Business Plan for WordPress.com in order to upload plugins.

Indeed staff-imahappyengineer! In her previous post Lisa mentioned she needed to purchase a business plan and received a staff response. I was curious to the progression as it is indeed required for uploading plugins. I should have added that requirement in my post so thank you for the catch! :)
