Watermark Theme: how do I add a search box that appears on every page?
-
Hi there,
I’m on a Premium plan and am using Watermark theme.
I want to add a search box that viewers can always easily get access to when browsing the website. It could be in the hearder, footer or fold up.
I looked for answers and tried out various code for other themes. Unfortunately none of them worked for me.
Hope someone can help. Thank you! (:
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

One more question, is it possible to add a “back to top” button (either text or image} to let viewers quickly go back to the top of the webpage, not just the top of a post?
Cheers. (:

As far as I’m aware, there are no other options for this with the theme you’re currently using.
Some other themes allow you to display widgets site wide, or will have an option to display a search field in the header section of your site.

@azurajia, as @garysixtyeight indicates, some themes include a search feature in the header area of the theme, but not all, and if the theme does not have that feature, and if it does not have a sidebar or footer widget area, there isn’t a way to add one.

Hi @garysixtyeight and @thesacredpath,
Thank you both! Do you think it might be possible if I switch to self hosted wordpress?
