watermarked looking page links on top of my home page
-
I have discovered that I am not as computer savvy as I thought I was and I have had a terrible time getting this thing going. I am using Duotone for my wordpress theme and I am a landscape designer so I want to just use it for pictures of my designs. After struggling to put in all the pics, I got them in and labeled and now, all the labels are showing up kind of as a “watermark” but really as links to each pic, and they are not linked together as a picture show or slide show from page to page. Does anyone have any ideas on what is happening and how to fix this problem? Thanks!

Oh dear, you have a MAJOR problem. Those are not posts. Those are Pages. And Pages in duotone don’t show images, I believe.
You will have to cut/paste them all to turn them into Posts. Here is the differnce explained:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/I’m afraid there are no shortcuts. You’ll have to click to the HTML editor, copy all the code, and paste it into a Post, then add title, categories and/or tags, then Publish. And delete the Page.

As a temporary remedy till you do what raincoaster suggested, you can go to Appearance>Menus, create a blank menu, select it from the Theme Locations dropdown, save, then go to Appearance>Widgets and drag the Pages widget to “Sidebar”. This way you’ll get rid of the labels from there and have a passable list of your pages in the footer.
