watermarking images questions

  I had been thinking about watermarking my images for some time, but having just seen one of my images used — without permission or attribution — by a British company, I’m motivated.

  Can I watermark all the images in my image library retroactively, or only starting with the new ones? How do I upload images — or urls — from from WP to watermarktool, anyway, or do I upload them from my computer?

  I will also contact the company that used my image and hope to be credited. TIA

  Watermarktool doesn’t include a URL option, so you have to upload the images from your computer. Or you can create copies of the images and watermark them yourself using an image editing application.

  Such a watermarked image or copy is a new file, so images already inserted in your posts will have to be re-uploaded and re-inserted.
