way out of paying for Space Upgrade

Hi I want to know whether if i buy a .com via wordpress whether i will still be limited to 2.9 GB. I wish to have unlimited upload space without having to constantly pay every year. I believe 17$ for a .com is enough for everything. Please let me know asap, thanks

The upload space and the domain aren’t related, so buying a domain doesn’t give you more storage.
To have more space, you should look into one of our space upgrades:

That’s pretty unfair considering other sites allow you to host your own domain for $14 total with as much space as possible. Greedy which sucks considering i was looking forward to continue with wordprees. Do you know of any other benefits whatsoever i may have after buying a domain through wordpress, other then ridding wordpress from the url? because right now i don’t see any, disappointing

Hosting providers will usually charge you a monthly fee, but we’re not regular hosting and a comparaison isn’t really fair.
If you’d prefer self hosting your website that’s perfectly fine with us.

So according to this i get unlimited database storage. Database storage is used to store information, texts, images, AND media files. So why is it that wordpress is making people pay for space upgrades when it clearly states here that it is unlimited? Maybe i should wake up as the text says haha!
