w.bloggar problem

Hi, I am trying to get w.bloggar to work with my new wordpress blog (wordpress.com/hfreeman). I enter my correct username and password on the w.bloggar set up page. I use http://tramv.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php, which I found in the wordpress support forum.
But when I press FINISH, I get the error message:
“HTTP post error. The error number is the returned HTTP error code.”
I’m using Internet Explorer 6.0.2900, with up to date patches. All suggestions appreciated.

I’m sorry but I have no personal experience with w.bloggar. I believe cornell uses it but he’s in the UK and not on the forum right now. This is from the FAQs search box http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/01/20/xml-rpc-and-desktop-apps/

I’m also aware that IE 6 with updates has problems and the recommendation is to upgrade to IE7, Firefox 2 or Opera 9. http://wordpress.com/forums/topic.php?id=5350&replies=36

I had that lots of times with wbloggar at first.
I kept installing/uninstalling until it got it right.It isn’t a fault of us and it appears unrelated to anything else on the computer. If I recall the wbloggar forum/faq was not that helpful.
Keep trying it, maybe do the install/uninstall a couple of times. It’s a decent program.

I found that the proper API end point is:
/xmlrpc.php
You DON’T append your blog name to that address.
