We all need a plugin to manage widgets

    Hello,

Because WordPress include plugins automatically, users won’t find a Plugins tab in the Dashboard and so they are completely blocked in the management of widgets.

To include a plugin such as Display Widgets will be really great ! Don’t you think ?

    Sincerely,
    LN

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No I don’t think so at all. I know there are many bad plugins out there that can break not only the sites they are installed on but on a multi-user platform like this one they could even break other sites.

I’ve blogged here for over 9 years and I have never needed any plugins other than those that are built in. On my self hosted sites I run Jetpack and little else.

Blogger installed plugin capability does not exist on WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.

For that type of functionality you’d need a self-hosted WordPress.ORG software install running on a paid web hosting service.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins (passwords), features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

You can hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting and move your content into a WordPress.ORG install https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.
