  We have just built our site and will be ready to move our domain name (still currently attached to our old site) over early next week. Can someone help me with that process when we’re ready?

  Welcome :)

  While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. Therefore, we recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar. You can use the domain for your site here at WordPress.com by mapping the domain, as explained here:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  It appears as if you’ve already gotten the mapping upgrade here. The last step (as you’ll see in the link above) is adjusting your domain’s name servers so they point to your WordPress.com site.

  They should be:
  ns1.wordpress.com
  ns2.wordpress.com
  ns3.wordpress.com
