weather for "own html"-widget

    hello forum

i have been trying to find a wether applet that works in the footer html-widget of a free wp.com blog. i realize iframe doesn´t work so i have been trying to find an alternative but even the ones from https://openweathermap.org/widgets-constructor can´t be used. apparently there it is the jscript that wp doesn´t like. does anyone know a solution? i am lost ;)
thanks for reading and even more so for replying

    Hi thewayofdog,

That’s right, Javascript isn’t supported on the Premium plan or below for security reasons. We don’t have a weather widget but if you can find a service that provides HTML code or one of the other code types we support, that can be used instead:

    Add Code to Your Site

A weather widget is on our list of possible improvements for the future though so I’ll pass on your interest as a vote :)

thanks a lot for your reply Gemma! it isn’t essential but would have been nice on a village blog – that doesn’t have a business budget ;) anyway, all the weather services i tried use either jscript or iframe, so we have to make do with an old-fashioned link to the local weather forecast.
can my dog vote for a weather widget too?
    ;)
    have a great day!
