Weather.com link

I want to add a link to my blog from the weather channel to show the weather where I live. I cannot figure out how to do this. I can copy the code from Weather.com into a post, making sure it is in visual not html mode, but the link button is gray. Help, please.

If they’re giving you code to copy, make sure that you’re actually adding it in the HTML editor tab.

I have tried it with HTML and visual, and what I get is the code itself posted on my blog. Tell me more, and assume nothing. I am very new to this blogging thing.

Do you mean my blog? That is where it isn’t working. If so, it is http://hotdryandgrowing.wordpress.com
If you mean something else, please give me more specific info on what I need to give you.
Just to be clear, I want to be able to have the current weather here (Southern Utah) show on my blog about gardening. I’m trying to use a module from the Weather Channel.
Thanks, Macmanx. I have a feeling we might get this to work.

Would you please add the code to a post or draft and let me know the title of it, so I can take at look at what’s not working?
-
Thanks for working so hard on this. I’ve copied the code into a draft entitled (drum roll, please) St. George, Utah weather.
-
Yeah, that definitely won’t work. They’re including code in there which we’re already filtering out for security purposes.

So, is the Weather from this site a dead end for me? Are you aware of any other places I could use to show local weather on my blog? Since it is about gardening, I thought it would be cool to have local weather on it. And, again, thanks so much.

Is what I want to do not possible? I’d like to have a little box show somewhere in the sidebar with the local weather. I can’t seem to make it happen. I’m sure this is operator error, but you guys have been so helpful already.
Here is what i did starting form the weather/2/ page above.
I located the city code, inserted it as directed. Tried to change bg color by using hex code. I then copied the code into a post (html), saved the draft and then previewed it.
What I got was a new post from today’s date, which showed the title and the code, and a click spot.
Egads.

If you want it in your sidebar, don’t put it in a post. Instead, put it in a Text widget.

You are all geniuses (geni?). After all of your help I finally, Finally got it. Thank you so very very much.
