Web 2.0 community for popularity

Hey, my blog is bjevanael.wordpress.com – I’m a writer, I came from Livejournal but switched over to wordpress for the professionalism (if you can call it that at all in blogging).

The thing that I miss most from Livejournal is the community aspect, which I found created a lot of traffic. Now on WP I find there are no options for this sort of thing, so my blog is out there – but how do I reach people who have the same interests in order to build a community of other writers or readers?

If you think there are no options for that sort of thing, you need to do more research. There are plenty of options, and more all the time, but they are different from Livejournal’s, different from Tumblr’s.

Have you looked under the Community tag on the forums? Have you used Tag Surfer and Friend Surfer? Have you looked at the Global Tag Pages? Those are all good places to start.

Yeah, thanks…considering that asking the question of what options there are on WP was the topic of my post, that…doesn’t really help me.

Thank you…I started looking under those things after I read your first comment.

That will keep you busy for awhile. There are FAQ’s about them and a TON to explore.
