  Hi there,
  So I updated my web address to ‘apancakesatellite.wordpress.com’ over on the account settings page. It asked me a couple of questions and I was careful to check the box I wanted, which was ‘use this one and discard the old one’. However, when I went over to view my blog, the web address still came up as the old one, ‘pancakesatellite4.wordpress.com’. Does anyone know what happened?

  Hello!

  apancakesatellite.wordpress.com – this is a permanently deleted blog/URL, and as per WordPress.com policy, it can’t ever be used again.

  If it was you who registered this address, it somehow got deleted by you in the process and is not usable anymore. If you still want to change the URL, please follow the guide here, and make sure you read all the notices/warnings.
