Web address for deleted wordpress site still opens..

    Hi I deleted my wordpress site selfhelp10101 under the web address https://selfhelp10101.wordpress.com/ months ago. I’ve had a new one set up for a while under https://healingthroughexpression.home.blog. Mind you I forgot to update the username and web address for commenting in blogs, so when I recently posted comments in blogs outside wordpress, it was still using https://selfhelp10101.wordpress.com/. How am I able to still get taken to the old web address just to be told

    selfhelp10101.wordpress.com is no longer available.
    The authors have deleted this site.

    Shouldn’t the link to the web address be broken? How can I access the comments activity because it seems like I can’t delete or edit it. I’ve been pretty stressed about it as I constantly edit stuff I write

    How am I able to still get taken to the old web address just to be told selfhelp10101.wordpress.com is no longer available.

    selfhelp10101.wordpress.com was deleted some time ago and you are seeing the standard message we display for deleted sites. It’s not possible to remove this message though.

    Mind you I forgot to update the username and web address for commenting in blogs, so when I recently posted comments in blogs outside wordpress, it was still using https://selfhelp10101.wordpress.com/

    How are you posting comments outside of WordPress.com?

    The site address on any old comments posted from this account won’t be updated — since that information was already submitted at the time you left the comment. Only comments submitted after the primary site was changed, will show the new address.

    I think I’ll just leave that then. I don’t think there’s any way I can reach the comments as it was left using the old deleted site address..and I can’t get into that account anymore. I was posting the comments on a site where you can comment using your wordpress account.

    My other question is that I unsubscribed from receiving emails from a user here on WordPress yet I’ve still been receiving emails from them..I’ve already gone into my subscriptions many times they were never on there. I also un-followed them to see if it would stop me receiving emails and it didn’t.

    What email address are those emails being sent from, and what is the URL of the site?

    When I go to unsubscribe it says they have deleted their site https://victedy.wordpress.com

    However this is the current site they use
    https://newshoundsnewsround.wordpress.com/author/govtnewspeak/

    The email that sends me the blog posts is
    (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    UPDATE-
    I commented on one of their blogs a month ago and they replied under “victedy.wordpress.com” which is now deleted. I’m not following their new site as I said earlier I unfollowed them about a week or so ago to see if I would stop getting emails, but I received an email post yesterday from the site. It must be from the deleted site then..don’t know =P

    Could you confirm what email address that’s going to? If you’ll type it here it will be hidden from public view so only staff can see it. And we can use that to look for more information.

    Got it. Yeah that email address is not associated with this account, but I can see it’s subscribed directly to the site you mentioned.

    Your unsubscribe links for that address will not work while you’re logged into a different account. So first, log out of this WordPress.com account here:
    https://wordpress.com/me/account

    Then go to the email address you mentioned, and click an unsubscribe link in its email.

    Then you can log back in and confirm here that it’s done, and we’ll take a look to ensure the subscription is gone.
