Web address problems

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

I got rid of my site katealexandrapriestley.wordpress.com but now I want to reinstall it but when I try the only option I have now is katealexandrapriestley480899132.wordpress.com
I don’t want those numbers there. How can I just get it back to it how it was without the numbers?

If I can’t get rid of it, I’m tempted to close my account completely then wait 30 days and then reopen it and hopefully it’ll let me just have the original address which was simple to do when I first opened it.

    Many thanks
    Kate

  • I added the modlook tag, so that your post is checked by Staff. They will check if it is possible to recover your previous domain.

    katealexandrapriestley.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.

Staff can recover that address but only if it was deleted less than 30 days ago.

You didn’t have to accept that address just because it was the first one offered. You probably could have edited it to just have one number.

  • @katealexandrapriestley I was able to restore this for you since you just removed it three days ago.

If you need to delete posts or media, you can do that instead of deleting the site itself. Let us know if you need help. Cheers!

Thanks for your response. I couldn’t seem to change the numbers, they were just given to me. It has been resolved anyway. Thank you.

Thanks Supernovia! Much appreciated :) Deleted the site but then realised I needed it again a few days later for another purpose! Thank you though :)
