Web designer deleted my entire WP site

    Really appreciate any sort of help with this

    Sadly a web designer misunderstood and deleted my work/biz site I have worked on for years from WordPress. It had been backed up but not for some time as the revision saving system was all I thought I would need and did not expect anyone to delete my whole site.

    He did this thinking to make space for a separate new site.

    He has restored it from a WP back up but it is from 2016. Does anyone know anyway at all of somehow retrieving a more recent version at all given there is no more recent back ups or revisions now available on the WP ADMIN dashboard and control panels.

    Any help highly appreciated…..

    Hi billungah,

    naturalhabitats.net was using WordPress.org software and hosted by Crazy Domains:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    We can only help with sites hosted on WordPress.com but you could try contacting your host to see whether they still have a more recent backup. If not, the WordPress.org support forums will be the best place to ask for more advice:

    Thank you for that…but Im not referring to http://www.naturalhabitats.net
    I am referring to http://www.naturalhabitats.com.au which is hosted on the WordPress site.

    In my post above – this line “The blog I need help with is http://www.naturalhabitats.net.”

    was automatically put up by WP not me. That is likely because I did log in to this naturalhabitats.net account but thought it would not matter asking a general question even if related to my WordPress hosted site.

    So with this in mind, can we continue and would you have any suggestions ?
    Or do I have to start over again and go back to my other site, hosted on WP and ask the same thing ?

    naturalhabitats.com.au is also not hosted with us on WordPress.com.

    That site was built using the open source WordPress software, but it is hosted by Bluehost.com.

    Your hosting plan at Bluehost might include a backup service, so please contact their support to ask about that. If they don’t, and you did not use another backup service or keep your own backups, the content is lost.

    We’re not able to help with this, as no content from that site has ever been stored on our servers.
