web developer deleted my site

  i have used fiverr to have my website designed and this was a traumatic experience.
  In the end the developer has taken my site offline because i have given him a 5 star review.
  I have since discovered it was developed using wordpress and now we have recieved an email that our wordpress password has been changed.

  So how do i go about getting the wordpress site into my control.

  how is it that files are uploaded direct to my host yet somehow it has to go through wordpress site.

  I have a whole lot of php files.

  please help

  Hi –

  It sounds like this is a self hosted WordPress site. One that uses the installation of WordPress with a hosting company.

  That is a bit different from what we do here at WordPress.com.

  Can you share the site address?

  I think what you are saying is right.

  There is a WordPress plugin
