  How does a web developer use my account if I use google to log into word press?

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  So the web developer would need to also have a WordPress.com account, and then they would be invited to be an admin on the site as per these steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/invite-people/#add-a-team-member

  Out of curiosity, what work is being conducted exactly? The reason why I ask is because developers tend to work with installed themes and plugins, and these are features that are possible with the business plan. The features of the business plan can be found here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/
