  Hi,
  I’m new to this blogging. I installed Word Press and wrote a blog (currligirl.wordpress.com). I hit “publish”. Where is my blog published? Do I need a web hosting service?

  It looks like you’ve got a WordPress.com blog already:

  Because you registered here, you’ve got a free blog that’s already up and running. You don’t need a host, because WordPress.com is your host. There are two kinds of WordPress, and you’ve got the “basic model” which is easier for non-techies to use. Here is a thread that outlines the differences:
