web hosting

Hi there,
I recently bought 2 domain names for my new businesses in Norway (KraniellOsteopati.no & DyreOsteopati.no) and started using WordPress to set up 2 websites with blogs (KraniellOsteopati.wordpress.com & DyreOsteopati.wordpress.com). I have posted a blog for KraniellOsteopati.wordpress.com (called Kraniell Osteopati) but not for the other webpage. Since then I have signed up to hostgator.com and have downloaded the WordPress software so that I can make the webpages using the domain names KraniellOsteopati.no & DyreOsteopati.no.
Does it matter that I have already started using the KraniellOsteopati.wordpress.com & DyreOsteopati.wordpress.com wedpages and have started the Kraniell Osteopati blog?
Will it automatically transfer to the KraniellOsteopati.no & DyreOsteopati.no webpages or do I need to shut down the KraniellOsteopati.wordpress.com & DyreOsteopati.wordpress.com websites & blogs first?
Thank you!

It doesn’t matter that you’ve already posted to the free WP.com sites, no. Finish setting up your sites on your domains using the WP.org software. Then, when you’re ready, you can just transfer any content that already exist on the WP.com sites to the new self-hosted sites by exporting it from the one and importing to the other. It doesn’t happen automatically.
The self-hosted sites don’t even need to be empty: the imported content will just be added to any content already there. You can also transfer your followers and stats from WP.com to WP.org using the Jetpack plugin. https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/view-all/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/Once you’ve finished transferring your content you can delete the WP.com sites if you like, but I recommend you just set them to private instead, as deleting them will permanently remove their URLs from the system and you’ll never be able to re-register them.
