Web Hosting

Hello,
I already have a web hosting with maxihoster.com. I registered my domain with them as well. However, I also have a Personal plan with you.
With my plan, I just want to use your website builder and connect my domain. Is there any way I can store my website data to maxihoster?
Thanks,
AnggiThanks

Hi there!
You don’t actually need separate web hosting if you want to host your site with us. We’re also a managed WordPress hosting. The main difference between other hosts and WordPress.com is that we offer many built-in features that are not available with regular hosting companies.
Some of the features we offer in various WordPress.com plans are:
- Unlimited bandwidth, so your site can have millions of visitors
- Unmatched security
- Built-in stats
- Social sharing buttons
- Spam prevention system powered by Akismet
- Expert support via live chat/ticket (depending on the plan)
- Advanced hosting features like SFTP, SSH, and real-time backups with a one-click restore with the Business plan and higher
So basically, you need to choose one hosting, which can be us or a different hosting you already have. You can’t have hosting in two places, as your domain can only be pointed to one hosting at a time.
If you’d like to move your site to WordPress.com, we have instructions for migrating your entire site as-is to WordPress.com here:
If you have a website built with WordPress on another hosting provider, generally referred to as a self-hosted WordPress.org site, and want to move it to WordPress.com, use our Import Everything option. The Import Everything option will copy your existing self-hosted WordPress site to your new WordPress.com site, including your content, media, plugins, and the theme. Prerequisites A WYou can also check out/upgrade to the WordPress.com Business plan below:
With any WordPress.com plan (not just Business), you can use your domain with your WordPress.com site by adding Domain Connection or transferring the domain to WordPress.com.
Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.
