That blog has only one single post. dated september of 2008. Your blog was found by Google, http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en-us&q=site:http://fdaylesworth.wordpress.com/&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 , but because you have only one post, Google will pay less and less attention to you and at some point they will figure it is abandoned and not come back.
To get visitors and gain page rank with search engines, you have to post and post often and you have to have quality original content. You also have to categorize your posts and use tags so that the search engines can determine where to put you.
Search the support documents for “tags” and “categories” to learn more about them.

Thank you very much for that information. I read somewhere that one could “submit your blog” to the top four search engines but it didn’t give any more information. Can you comment or give instructions?

If google has found you, then there is a very high likelihood that the others have as well. WordPress automatically pings the major search engines through pingomatic whenever you make a post.
You can search on the web for “submit site to google” or yahoo or whatever and you should find the information you need.

Good suggestion. I found this site that requests only the URI and a email address. I have a email I use in case it gets spammed I can abandon it so I’ll give it a try. It recommends no oftener than once a month.

Following your suggestion I’d like to reduce the words in my title but can’t figure out how to edit it.
