  Good day, I’m helping my wife set up her blog (I set up mine a few weeks back) and as of yet, she does not turn up on a Google search whereas mine does. I believe I set her up the same as myself, so I’m rather buffaloed at it all.

  Your wife’s blog will eventually be indexed by search engines unless you’ve chosen to block them under Settings->Privacy.
  It’s up to Google to decide when and how to include your site in search results, we have no control over that.
