  I’m trying to set up a domain name to create a website, but I want the name to be elizabethleiknes.com. I’m ready to pay and set up the website, but the domain name keeps changing to other things…

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello!

  When you say the domain changes, what do you mean? In looking at elizabethleiknes.com, it appears to be available. Are you setting up a site with a paid plan (Personal, Premium, Business)? Custom urls are only available with a paid plan, otherwise your site on a free plan will always be at a .wordpress.com site URL.

  Since you already have a free plan – elizabethleiknes.wordpress.com

  Log in to your account (if you are not already logged in) and head to https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/elizabethleiknes.wordpress.com

  Click on Add domain and you will find elizabethleiknes.com on the list. Click on “upgrade” to follow the payment process.
