web site

can I set up and host an e-commerce site using word press? I already have a site in place, but it is built using a builder. As my business grows I am running into many restrictions preventing me from growing. I would like to use my own site template designed specifically for my site. (you can check out my site to see what I am talking about here: http://www.foodsaving.com).
Is this is something that could be done with WP or is this just for blogging? Please point me in the right direction.
Thanks

I read the differences in the .com-vs-.org, however I wonder if it is worth the cons that are listed? can’t I have the best of both worlds? I am not that technically inclined, but I am learning. will this be too difficult for me to figure out? I spend way too much time on learning codes and software than I do on running my business.

You can’t do e-commerce here – that is the issue – no shopping carts etc. and you would also be in violation of the Terms of Service

You CAN have the best of both worlds, but it will cost you several hundred dollars a month or more to hire a web developer to provide tech support.
