  I think I have been scammed. A guy I paid to set up a website (WordPress), for me has told me my site is down due to a virus. I’ve paid him £155 recently for ‘additional security, maintenance and GDPR’. He’s not replying to my messages. I know I have been conned but need to know if there is any way I can get my site back? Thank you in advance.

  Your site uses open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org), whereas this forum deals with sites hosted through WordPress.com.

  They’re very similar, but two separate things.

  I suggest that you contact your hosting provider about this matter.
  I also see that the domain name has expired, and the nameservers have been dropped as well.
